Ron Paul Supporter Loyalty

I was asked the other day how loyal the Ron Paul supporters were. The context of the question was phrased like this. "Ron Paul is barely registering in the national polls. At what point will all his supporters online give up."

I was thinking about Howard Dean in the last election. I remembered how Howard Dean was the "Internet candidate" last election but after the Dean Scream, his support dwindled to nothing.

But Paul's popularity this time around dwarfs Deans' from four years ago. So the two situations are not completely identical. The second issue I pointed out was the fact that the more "bad news" Ron Paul supporters get, the stronger they back him. Whenever a poll is released and does not include their candidate, they support him stronger. Whether it continues to exist is unknown.

Then I mention that America's reliance on the Internet for their news has grown from four years ago. That means a larger majority of voters will be flocking to the Internet for candidate information and many voters will learn about Ron Paul that way.

In the hypothetical case that Paul gets only 2% in Iowa on Caucus night and is still polling single digits around the nation, will you contintue to support Ron Paul. Is your loyalty as true as I hope it is? Leave your remarks below.
