Are Ron Paul Supporters Only Young People?
An internet supporter of our website questions our article on Ron Paul's natural boost. She felt that we said Ron Paul's supporters are only young people. We meant that Ron Paul's strongest base of support is young people which is not entirely the same thing.
Dear Mr. Terr,
As a supporter of Ron Paul and an assistant organizer to a Ron Paul for President meetup in Alpharetta Georgia, I would like to invite you to a meeting.
I believe that the assumption that his support is all young people is inaccurate. We started our group one month ago and have had three meetings and two events. Our members range in age from 20 to high 60's. Based on
our meetings the majority of supporters are in their 40's.
Please feel free to visit a few meetups - anywhere you want to - and find out who these people are that are supporting Ron Paul. I am sure any Ron Paul Meetup group would be happy to include you!
Stick around after the meeting and you will also find out that the political background varies within a group. There are of course, die hard libertarians, disillusioned Republican and Democrats and even some people who have never voted in their life and are 40 years old. There is such a range of age and political background you will be surprised.
Go to www.meetup.com, search for Ron Paul under the Presidential Candidate section and then enter your zip code. All the Meetups in that area will show.
Thank You,
Martha Mellon

Our response
Hi Martha,
I plan on attending Ron Paul meetups in the future. Los Angeles is nearby and I will start with that. Although Georgia is a bit far for me :-), I will try to join up some day... It is always good to mix travelling and see how political supporters of any candidate feels around the country.
I am sorry if I gave you the impression that Ron Paul's supporters are ONLY young people. I admit that anyone saying that would be wrong. My point was actually reversed in that Ron Paul has the strongest percentage support among young people.
I still admit that this is a theory but it is based on Internet traffic specifically the demographics data coming from websites like ronpaul2008.com, and dailypaul.com. I did not pull it out of nowhere.
Anyways, thanks for your support and invitation to Georgia.
