Rudy Giuliani Is a Coward For Attacking Ron Paul

<< See all our Ron Paul articles.

Published May 19, 2007, 4AM PST

I do not know what Fox News was smoking when they said Rudy Giuliani slapped Ron Paul because he was a coward for attacking Ron Paul in the second GOP debate.

Giuliani Lied.
First of all, Ron Paul never said the United States invited the 9/11 attack. He was simply trying to point out motives for why foreign nations hate us. So the whole premise of his argument was all a fallacy.

Giuliani Trying to Deflect Attention From His Abortion Stance.
Second of all, it had nothing to do with what Ron Paul had to say as much as it was an opportunity for Rudy Giuliani to associate himself with 9/11 and the World Trade Center attacks. He was dying in these debates with respect to the real issues like abortion and the economy. He is not a very good debater. He flip flopped on the abortion issue in the first debate. So he attacked a candidate with less than 1% of the vote to deflect the attention away from real issues to war. How low can you go?

Giuliani' Wanted to Appear Strong.
The best way to act strong is by beating up on the weak. I guess that's why we keep getting involved in failed foreign wars.

Ron Paul is An Easy Target.
Do you think Giuliani would ever attack a McCain or a Romney directly? Of course he wouldn't because of all the backlash that he would get. Those candidates are media darlings and an attack on them by Rudy Giuliani would have hurt his reputation. Instead, Giuliani saw a perfect opportunity to get look strong. That was pretty selfless and cold.

Someone Needs to Debate Giuliani.
I would like to see someone attack Giuliani on his wavering issue on abortion. Why does he attack candidates without knowing anything about the facts? How dare he make up the views of another candidate and then attack him based on something he made up.

Giuliani is lower than scum. I wipe my ass with his face.
