USAElectionPolls.com - Our Take on Ron Paul

<< See all our Ron Paul articles.

Published May 19, 2007, 4AM PST

We report the truth in an unbiased fashion yet there are people emailing and telling us that the fact that we have so many articles on Ron Paul makes us biased. What are their explanations for such absurd accusations?

Well, they usually point to the polls and say "Ron Paul does not even get 1% in most polls, so why are you reporting so much about him?"

Webmasters Are Voicing Frustration With Ron Paul. Many webmasters have voiced their frustration with Ron Paul. They are angry that their straw polls are flooded and spammed. They do not like how their forums are dominated by Ron Paul chatter.

Generating News Stories Based on Polls Would Undermine Our Democratic Process. I don't think that is very fair of anyone to say. Not a single vote has been cast in this election. And we are not about to divvy up our coverage of the candidates proportional to the polling percentages. Why? Because then the frontrunner would always win. It would be a race to lead and whoever is in the lead would then end up getting all the press coverage. But polls are nothing more than samples of public opinion and to base news events and stories on polls would be absurd.

Ron Paul's Supporters Would Be Drowned Out Naturally If His Support Does Not Grow. Besides, if Ron Paul's national support remains at 0-3% forever, the rest of the 97% will soon speak up and drown out the loud Paul supporters. At least at some point. So why try to silence those 3%. Let democracy take its course!

Mini Ron Paul Revolution. We report what we observe and we are observing a mini-Ron Paul revolution. How can a medium as popular as the Internet have 50%+ of the netizens support Ron Paul yet in any state election, he would not even get above 3% of the vote?

We Are Math Guys, Not Political Guys. Besides, the founders of this web site have no political ties nor a political background. We are actually math guys. I have a Masters in Engineering from UCLA. David Terr has a PhD in Mathematics from UC Berkeley. We concentrate on statistics and polling, that is our main area of expertise.

Ron Paul is Very Relevant. So we hold no bias towards any candidate nor do we attempt to promote a candidate. We write about the news stories that we deem relevant. If the reporting of polls were banned by congress and you had no idea who was leading nationally or in any of the states. Would you not believe Ron Paul had much more support based on the net roots support?

Who gets your vote in 2012?

 Barack Obama (BO)

 Mitt Romney (MR)
