Quote: Connecticut: McCain Trails Significantly in Joe Lieberman's Home State: In an election for President of the United States in Connecticut today, 09/26/08, Democrat Barack Obama defeats Republican John McCain 54% to 38%, according to this SurveyUSA poll conducted exclusively for WABC-TV New York. Obama takes a majority of votes among men and women, young and old, white and black. McCain leads among conservatives, Republicans, pro-life voters, gun owners, and those who regularly attend religious services. Obama leads by double digits in Hartford County, New Haven County, and Fairfield County; McCain and Obama tie in the rest of the state.
