Although McCain leads among white voters in Delaware 51% to 45%, Obama holds a dominant lead among non-white voters. The candidates are tied among men at 49% each, while Obama leads among women 62% to 34%.

Obama is viewed favorably by 62% of voters and unfavorably by 38%. McCain�s ratings are 51% favorable, 48% unfavorable.

Not surprisingly, Biden earns the highest marks from voters in his home state. The senator is viewed favorably by 65% and unfavorably by 34%. McCain's running mate Sarah Palin earns favorable reviews from 43% and unfavorable reviews from 54%.

The economy is the top issue for most voters in Delaware, and they trust Obama more on the issue by a 54% to 39% margin.

Just three percent (3%) of voters give the economy good or excellent ratings, while 73% rate it as poor. Eighty-three percent (83%) say the economy is getting worse, while only two percent (2%) say it is getting better.
