Quote: Delaware, Home to Biden, Poised to Deliver 3 Electoral Votes For Obama: In an election for President of the United States in Delaware today, 09/24/08, six weeks from the vote, Democrat Barack Obama defeats Republican John McCain 57% to 37%, according to this latest exclusive WCAU-TV News poll conducted by SurveyUSA. Obama leads among most groups; McCain leads among Republicans, conservatives, those who consider themselves pro-life, and gun owners. Obama leads by 29 points among the youngest voters, by 2 points among the oldest. 24% of Delaware Republicans cross over to vote for Obama; 13% of Democrats cross over to vote for McCain. Independents favor Obama by 15 points.
