As this new year progresses, optimism is once again making a comeback. According to a new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey, 12% consumers say our economy is getting better, while 16% of investors agree. This is great news because as consumer confidence increases, the more sales happen and the gears of our economy will start to turn again.

As stated in previous articles, this economic downturn is simply a phase. We all need to relax and let the free market fail once in a while, for eventually it will succeed again. With this new administration coming up, it is the hope of this author that confidence will remain high and the fundamentals of economy continue to surge and improve.

If you can, go out and have dinner. Pamper yourself and buy that foot massager you've been eyeing. After paying down your debt, don't be afraid to pump money back into our economy. We all need each other during these tough times, but if we all work together, we will all reach our destination.
