Despite Obama's mistakes of choosing Tom Daschle and Nancy Killefer, both of whom withdrew their nominations from top cabinet seats due to failing to pay back taxes, the American peoples' confidence in President Obama remains high.

President Obama quickly recognize his error and apologized for his mistakes to the American people, a behavior that was rarely seen with the last administration. Obama was upfront and did not hide behind his blunder.

This is perhaps the reason why the majority of people still are confident in his ability to lead this country and still believe in his ethical standards. In a similar note, his job approval ratings have essential been the same throughout these events.
