Americans concerned About Drug Violence In Mexico4/4/09 Tags: Crime, General From Gallup (conducted: 4/1-2/09)
» Commentary by Kris Lazaro (registered Democrat) In a recent Gallup survey, the polling organization found that a great majority of Americans are concerned about the drug violence in Mexico, with it being greatest in the border states of california, New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas. As tensions and violence rises, the situation begs the question, "should we legalize illegal drugs here in the US"? In a struggling economy any source of income is a welcomed thing: legalizing now illegal drugs would not only decrease current violence, but will bring in extra profit for the country. It would also decrease the prison population of non-violent offenders and would free up extra cash for state coffers. The time is now to release our preconceived notions of illegal drugs and legalize them for profit. Check Gmail, Facebook, and IM simultaneously with Digsby. Click here for Hooked on Phonics
