Although the recent economic stimulus bill that was passed by Congress and signed into law by the president will take some time to affect the economy, many hypothesized that the psychological impact would have been instant.

But, a recent Gallup poll showed the contrary. Consumer confidence and the optimism for the US economy remain low despite the new bill. Americans are still fearful and apprehensive about the economy.

It will take a while for all of us to recover from this economy as we lose jobs and see our dwindling 401k investments go down the drain. But, we all must endure. There's always darkness before dawn.
