» Commentary by Kris Lazaro (registered Democrat)

Pollsters at Rasmussen recently asked voters whether or not they would be in favor of a law forcing automakers to make more fuel efficient cars, thereby increasing overall costs to vehicles. Surprisingly, 63% agreed and would be in favor of such a law. This author is surprised at the high amount of favorable votes and is pleased that so many people care about the environment.

Cars are perhaps one of the most greatest culprits in destroying our ozone layer and polluting our environment. By having more fuel efficient cars we are embracing a more earth-friendly vehicle and reducing its carbon footprint.

Automakers should take note of this poll and adjust their vehicle productions. We are all in this together, whether we like it or not. Let us stop polluting our environment with antiquated gas guzzling vehicles and start running and maintaining more eco-friendly automobiles.
