Obama's approval on the economy is slipping, thanks in large part to his position on GM and Chrysler. 58% of adults surveyed in this poll disapproved of Obama's position on keeping them in business. 73% of adults approved of Obama's spending on roads and public works projects, which is what he started his administration doing.

Onto foreign affairs, more Americans now feel that North Korea is a major threat to the well being of the United States, from 53% in January to 72% now. Interestingly, when Americans were polled regarding a war with Pakistan, the same number believed there would be major problems if the Taliban or Al Qaeda took power in Pakistan.

What the Pakistan poll found was that almost 60% of adults would favor military intervention into Pakistan. So as the United States gets into wars with these rogue nations (i.e. Afghanistan and Iraq) and has trouble getting out of them, more boogie men are created. Pakistan is a boogie man because the Taliban or Al Qaeda might take over. Iran is a boogie man because they have nuclear ambitions. North Korea is a boogie man because they were testing nuclear weapons.

Adults in America are more likely to want more wars with the new boogie men than they are to demand we get out and finish the old wars. And for now in history, it makes war more and more likely.
