Great Britain And Canada Are Top Two US Allies3/3/09 Tags: Foreign Affairs From Gallup (conducted: 2/27-28/09)
» Commentary by Kris Lazaro (registered Democrat) As President Barack Obama hosts the British prime minister today, a recent Gallup poll shows that Great Britain remains our top ally, receiving 36% of the votes by registered voters. The UK has always been a strong ally of the US and we need to keep this great cooperation with the British people and its government. Despite an unpopular war and the sort, the British have always supported the US and they continue to throw their support for Americans. Second on the list is Canada, followed by Japan, Israel (at 10%), and Germany (5%). With this new administration, this author feels that the world will warm up to the US again and will hopefully engender greater cooperation and a form a greater ally base around the world.
