Honeymoon May Be Over For President Obama3/7/09 Tags: Obama From Rasmussen Reports (conducted: 3/2-4/09)
» Commentary by Kris Lazaro (registered Democrat) Despite President Obama's attempts at bipartisanship, it seems that the Republicans in Congress do not feel the same sentiments. Among the legislations he has introduced to Congress, almost all of them have been blocked by those who reside on the other side of the aisle. In a recent telephone survey conducted by Rasmussen, many felt that Obama's honeymoon may be over, as 49% say politics will be more partisan over the next year. Obama should follow his ideology and not yield to the Republicans. He should stay the course and ignore opposition if he truly feel he is making the correct choices for this country. Republicans will always favor legislation that favors a select few, and will not have the peoples' interests in mind. As long as there will be politics, there will be discord. Bipartisanship can only last for so long. Check Gmail, Facebook, and IM simultaneously with Digsby. Make FREE internet calls with Skype - download now
