» Commentary by Kris Lazaro (registered Democrat)

The illegal drug trade that occurs between the US and Mexican border has long been a dangerous issue. Many people have died as a result of this trafficking and the direct interactions between law enforcement, the smugglers, and the general public.

In a recent Rasmussen telephone survey, it found that a staggering 70% would support a US military response to this issue. The US military would take over the duties of protecting our border from illegal drugs and the sort.

To this author this is a great idea. Let us bring back our troops abroad and have them protect the homeland from real threats. This war should be the focus of this new administration, not a war that is based merely on false ideology and greed.
