President Obama will start his tour of foreign countries with our neighbors to the north, Canada, in the next few days. This country is also the most favorable by Americans, and with obvious reason: Canada is very similar to the US, if not totally identical.

This author hopes that Obama's foreign relations travels will improve America's image in the world and provide a bridge towards a better relationship with other countries.

There has been so much anger and hatred directed towards the US in the past few years that it hurts this author. Hopefully with President Obama's talk of new diplomacy, America's role in the word will change and others' perception of Americans will follow suit.
