» Commentary by Kris Lazaro (registered Democrat)

Ronald Reagan was perhaps the Republican party's most beloved president in recent memory (aside from of course Abraham Lincoln). His values that 'government is the problem not the solution' and 'trickle-down economics' proved influential, as many Americans still view him as a great president (notwithstanding those on the far left).

The Republican party is slowly dying and this author feels this party should re-invent itself, but also not forget about its past.

These are different times with different challenges. For the Republicans to regain their swagger, they all should take a look at what has worked and what has not worked in the past.
