Although the 2008 elections are just a few months removed from today, talk about the Republican presidential candidate is already under way. The CNN/Opinion Research Corporation polled roughly 400 Republicans nationwide and found that the current front runner is Sarah Palin at 29%, followed by Mike Huckabee at 26%.

It should be noted, though, that this poll was taken days prior to Bobby Jindal's Republican response to President Obama's speech to Congress earlier this week.

For Republicans to recapture the executive office in 2012, they must change their current thinking and ideology. To this author, this is similir to asking a blind man to see. The Republican party in its current state is out of touch with reality and is in shambles.

Lousiana governor Bobby Jindal may be the freshest product the Republicans have to offer, but he is still a hardline Republican with outdated values.
