  • 91% feel that whites and minorities should have an equal chance at a promotion.
  • 50% of whites oppose affirmative action, only 24% of blacks and 27% of hispanics agree.
  • 69% of those aware of the Supreme Court decision on job promotions agreed with the ruling.

This poll is of San Diegans so take the results of this poll in stride.

Those in the 35-54 age range were the most likely to oppose affirmative action but were the most likely to disagree with the Supreme Court ruling. This seems like a contradiction and a possible dagger to the credibility of the poll.
