» Commentary by Kris Lazaro (registered Democrat)

In a recent poll conducted by the CNN/Opinion Research Corporation, Americans polled said that President Obama should try to seek bipartisanship and compromise on the bills he tries to introduce to Congress.

To this author, President Obama should look after the needs of the country and do what he believes is better for it, instead of trying to appease the other side.

In fact, it was the other side's policies that got us into this economic mess, so for Mr. Obama to follow failed policies is simply not learning from the past.

There should be some sort of compromise when a president introduces a bill, but it should not overshadow the priorities of the country it will serve.
